Comments
The Comments feature makes it easy to collaborate directly within the Glass platform as you build or review a survey. It’s available on the right side of the Build Survey workspace and can be accessed from every tab.
Opening and Hiding the Comments Panel
To collapse the panel, click the square icon with a vertical line through it.
To expand it again, click the comment bubble icon — the comments panel will slide back into view.
This flexibility allows you to keep the comments open while collaborating or hide them for a cleaner workspace.
Adding and Managing Comments
Inside the panel, you can type your message and click the Comment button to save it. Comments are visible to your teammates and the Glass service team, making it a useful place to flag questions, share edits, or request feedback.
Global Comments
If you add a comment while on the Overview, Audience, Customize, or Review tab, the note applies to the entire survey. Use this for broader feedback such as:
“Need to confirm total respondent target with client.”
“Check logic and quotas before launch.”
Question-Specific Comments
When you’re working within the Questions tab, comments can be tied to an individual question. You’ll know you’re on a specific question when the URL includes a Question ID. For example:
If you’re reviewing a brand list question, you might add a comment like “Need to finalize this list before launch.”
After saving, a small comment icon will appear next to that question — a visual reminder that feedback is pending or needs follow-up.
Using Comments for Collaboration
Comments are a great tool for:
Collaborating with teammates during survey setup
Tracking open tasks or QA items before launch
Communicating with the Glass service team about logic or audience settings
Pro Tip: Before launching your survey, do a final comments review – scroll through each question and make sure all comment icons are resolved or cleared. It’s a simple way to confirm that all edits and open notes have been addressed. See more information here.
