Quote Tool
On the Main Dashboard page, you’ll find a Get a Quote button in the top right corner.
This tool allows you to estimate the price of a new survey -- whether you plan to launch it immediately or just want to understand the potential cost.
Step 1: Enter Your Survey Details
The quote tool calculates pricing based on three key inputs:
Number of respondents
Enter how many people you’d like to complete your survey.
This number represents paid completes only — people who qualify and finish the survey.
Respondents who screen out, don’t qualify, or are removed for low quality are not included in this count.
Estimated incidence
Choose the incidence range that best represents how common your target audience is.
Ranges go from 1–2% (very niche) up to 75–100% (very broad).
This helps Glass estimate how difficult it will be to find your respondents and set an appropriate cost per complete.
Pro Tip: If unsure, estimate your incidence slightly lower to build in a buffer - this helps ensure your survey fields efficiently and stays within budget.
Number of questions
Enter how many custom questions (not core demographics) are in your survey.
The core demographic questions (the first 11) are always free and not included in your custom question count.
Longer surveys cost more, since they generally take longer to program, take respondents more time to complete, and have more data to check.
Question ranges are grouped into:
1–20 questions
21–40 questions
41–60 questions
Once you’ve entered these three details, the estimated total SAMPLE cost will appear automatically at the bottom of the tool.
Step 2: Survey Design and Fielding Options
Below your base quote, you’ll see a section titled Survey Design and Fielding. You can indicate individual services needed or select Full Service Support for a Glass Research Director to handle all those services from start to finish.
Full Service Support
Selecting this option means a Glass research expert will partner with you from start to finish, including survey design, programming, sample strategy, and field management. You can be as involved as you’d like, or let the Glass team manage everything. Full service support covers all of the items you can otherwise pick a-la-carte, so there’s no need to pick any additional services if you choose this option for your survey.
A-La-Carte Services
If you prefer more control, you can choose specific services individually:
Methodology Consultation – A one-hour session with a Glass research expert to discuss your objectives, structure, and approach.
Questionnaire Design – Full creation of a custom survey instrument using best-practice design principles.
Survey Programming – Our team will program your written questionnaire into the Glass platform.
Survey Review – A full check of your programmed survey to ensure logic, routing, and appearance are functioning correctly.
Survey Field Management – Glass manages your sample and field execution, including data quality checks and cleaning.
Selecting any of these options will automatically update your total cost at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Reporting and Analysis
Finally, you can add reporting or analysis support to your quote. You always have full access to your data in the platform at no cost, but our team can provide reporting deliverables if desired.
Options include:
Table Creation – Banner setup for cross-tabulation tables, up to 10 banners.
Scorecard Report – ~3 summary slides with key findings.
Focused Report – ~10-slide presentation with analysis and visuals.
Signature Report – ~20-slide professional PPT report.
Extended Report – ~30-slide comprehensive PPT report.
If you choose any of the PowerPoint Report or Deck options, you’ll also receive access to the cross-tabs and variables created to support that reporting.
Note: Dashboarding options are also available. Reach out to a Glass team member for dashboarding needs.
Note: The quote tool is for pricing only, it does not actually commission the work. Use the in-platform chat or email your Research Director to let them know if you’d like serviced work or reporting for your project.
