PowerPoint exports
PowerPoint exports are currently in beta testing and are not yet available to all DIY users. If you are interested in accessing this feature or have questions about availability or setup, please contact your Glass representative.
PowerPoint exports allow you to create Powerpoint charts directly from Glass. This feature lives alongside Crosstab exports and follows a similar workflow, giving you control over filtering, banner points, and question selection before exporting a PowerPoint file.
Each export includes basic chart visualizations by question type, along with sample size, question text, and percentage labels. These exports are designed to help you get started quickly with visualizing results. They are not intended to replace a fully developed reporting deck.
Where to find PowerPoint exports
Navigate to Analyze Results and locate the Build Export section across the top of the page.
From there, toggle to the Charts tab. This is the starting point for building your PowerPoint export.
Build export: banners and filters
The setup process closely mirrors the Crosstab experience.
Banners
Banners define the subgroups you want to chart, such as gender, age, region, or other classification variables. Each banner point becomes a separate series in your charts.
Click Add Banner Point to create a subgroup:
Name the banner point.
Select the question used to define it.
Choose the appropriate logic and response options.
You can also use Quick Add Banner Points to automatically create banner points for every response option in a selected question.
Filters
Filters allow you to limit your charts to a specific subset of respondents. Define your filter using survey logic, and all charts in your export will reflect only that filtered audience rather than the total sample.
Chart configuration
Once banners and filters are set, move to the chart configuration page.
This is where you select which questions you want charted in your PowerPoint export.
Use the checklist to include or exclude questions.
Charts are generated automatically based on question type.
Each chart includes sample size, question text, and percentage labels.
Glass currently provides basic chart types optimized for quick review and sharing.
Saving chart templates
Like Crosstabs, chart setups can be saved and reused.
At the top of the builder:
Enter a clear title for your chart template.
Click the save icon.
Choose to save as new or replace an existing version.
Saved templates make it easy to apply consistent chart selections across projects or waves.
Exporting to PowerPoint
When your setup is complete:
Click Export.
Processing time will vary depending on the number of questions and banners selected.
Navigate to the Exports tab in the left sidebar.
Click the cloud download icon to download your PowerPoint file.
Customizing charts after export
PowerPoint exports are intentionally simple and flexible.
Chart types can be changed directly in PowerPoint.
Colors can be customized to match your brand.
Charts can be copied and pasted into an existing brand template to automatically apply formatting.
This approach gives you a fast starting point while preserving full control over final presentation styling.
